UConn became the +900 men’s basketball championship favorite at Caesars Sportsbook, following the news that coach Danny Hurley is returning after a public pursuit by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Hurley and the Huskies have won back-to-back national titles. UConn actually has covered all 12 NCAA Tournament games, defeating every opponent by at least 13 points.

According to ESPN, the Lakers offered a salary that would place Hurley among the six highest-paid NBA coaches.

UCLA is the only men’s program that has won at least three straight national championships. The Bruins won seven straight from 1967 to 1973 under legendary coach John Wooden.
