Following a bye week, USC’s Caleb Williams still remains the Heisman favorite at +350.  However, several quarterbacks have gained ground on last year’s award-winner.

Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. is now the second-favorite, after passing for 473 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-7 victory at Michigan State. Penix’s odds have lowered from +900 to +550. Washington’s first game against a ranked opponent will come on Oct. 10 against 10th-ranked Oregon.

Quinn Ewers and third-ranked Texas continued their winning ways with a home win over Wyoming. The QB tallied just 131 yards and two touchdowns. He has yet to commit a turnover in UT’s 3-0 start, and his odds have shifted from +900 to +600.

Sam Hartman and undefeated Notre Dame are 4-0. His Heisman odds have moved from +1600 to +1000. The Wake Forest transfer has led a dynamic offense that has scored at least 41 points or more in each game. On the season, he has an FBS-high 13 passing touchdowns without an interception. Ninth-ranked Notre Dame faces its first ranked opponent this Saturday, when sixth-ranked Ohio State visits South Bend.
