In the past few years, the sports gambling industry has completely taken off and franchises have taken note. In 2021, the first sportsbook in a sporting venue opened up at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. and others have followed suit.
This is the future of the industry and I don’t think it will be long before almost every stadium has a space for sports bettors. We’re going to give you a list of all the professional sports stadiums that currently have sportsbooks inside and what they have to offer.
Caesars Sportsbook – Capital One Arena
Home To: Washington Wizards & Capitals
Originally William Hill, now a part of Caesars Sportsbook, this was the first sportsbook located inside a professional sporting venue. It’s a two-story venue that has a top-of-the-line restaurant and sports gambling experience. It set the bar high for the rest of the locations that followed.
FanDuel Sportsbook Lounge – Footprint Center
Home To: Phoenix Suns & Mercury
In September 2021, the FanDuel Sportsbook lounge opened inside Footprint Center in Phoenix. This was the first NBA stadium with a sportsbook and offers in-person betting with five betting windows, a VIP window, and 26 kiosks. The sportsbook also has a full-service bar and food options.
BetMGM Sportsbook – Nationals Park
Home To: Washington Nationals
Nationals Park became the first MLB stadium to have a retail sportsbook inside its venue in January 2022. You can place bets right at the stadium in Washington, D.C. and there are six traditional betting windows in addition to 17 full-service kiosks. This location also had a bar and food options for its customers.
Caesars Sportsbook – Chase Field
Home To: Arizona Diamondbacks
The Diamondbacks opened this sportsbook in June 2022 and it’s a 20,000-square-foot, two-story venue. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and you don’t even need a ticket to the game to enter the sportsbook in Phoenix. It is worth noting, however, betting will not be available during Diamondbacks’ home games and fans will have to use the Caesars mobile app.
BetMGM Sportsbook – State Farm Stadium
Home To: Arizona Cardinals
The BetMGM sportsbook at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. is located just steps from the north end of the Great Lawn and the 17,000-square-foot venue is the first sportsbook in NFL history. The sportsbook features a 265-square-foot video wall and has over 35 televisions as well. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available and guests can sit down to eat in either spot. Fans can place bets on the spot at one of the five traditional sports betting windows, in addition to the 27 self-service betting kiosks.
FanDuel Sportsbook Lounge – the United Center
Home To: Chicago Bulls & Blackhawks
This sportsbook lounge features 1,300 square feet of LED screens and it’s a two-story space on the south side of the United Center in Chicago. The space has a sports bar and offers concessions that aren’t available in the stadium. This lounge is available to all ticketed guests during United Center events. Right now, the space is currently operating as a non-wagering sports bar while the Illinois Gaming Board reviews its application for a gaming license.
Caesars Sportsbook Lounge – Citi Field
Home To: New York Mets
This lounge is 13,000 square feet and is located at the Metro Grille on the Excelsior Level at Citi Field in Queens, N.Y. There will be a multi-level dining room and outdoor patio seating that overlooks left field. This space won’t be opening as a retail sportsbook. Instead, it will be a sportsbook lounge and club space. Fans will still be able to use the Caesars Sportsbook app to place their wagers.
FanDuel Sportsbook – Audi Field
Home To: D.C. United
It’s located just inside Gate A on the north side of the stadium and it’s a bit of a smaller space at 2,550 square feet of space. This location is focused on betting, and it has 48+ television screens to go along with the three betting windows and 20 self-service kiosks.
The Caesars Sportsbook – Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse
Home To: Cleveland Cavaliers
The Caesars Sportsbook at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland opened in January 2023 right after sports betting became legal in Ohio. It is a two-story location and is 10,355 square feet in size. It has a very modern feel to it and it’s very aesthetically pleasing. There are betting windows and self-service kiosks available to place bets.
Fanatics Sportsbook – FedEx Field
Home To: Washington Commanders
This location was the first sportsbook that Fanatics opened anywhere. Located at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., the Fanatics Sportsbook is a modest 5,000 square feet space and there are eight betting windows to go along with 21 betting kiosks. Previously, the sportsbook wasn’t permitted to be open for betting during the Commanders’ home games, in compliance with NFL policy. That changed in March 2023 when NFL owners voted to allow sportsbooks to remain operationally during games at home.
DraftKings Sportsbook – Wrigley Field
Home To: Chicago Cubs
The DraftKings Sportsbook is located on the corner of Addison and Sheffield, jetting out from Wrigley’s right-field concourse in Chicago. Currently, you can’t place bets on-site, but DraftKings is working with the Illinois Gaming Commission to make that happen. It is a two-level space that has a bunch of TVs and high-quality bar food.
