The first Associated Press Top-25 rankings show disparities with oddsmakers, although the two parties see eye-to-eye with most of the top teams.

Kansas is the overall +1000 betting favorite at FanDuel, while receiving 46 of 63 first-place votes in the preseason poll. #2 Duke (+1200), #3 Purdue (+1200), #4 Michigan State (+1500) and #6 Connecticut (+2200) also received at least one top vote. #5 Marquette has +2000 odds.

The largest discrepancy is with 16th-ranked Kentucky, which has the fifth-shortest odds at +1800. John Calipari and the Wildcats have not reached the Sweet 16 since 2019.
