The Kentucky Derby is one of the most famous horse races in the world, taking place each year on the first Sunday in May at Churchhill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. The race, which is known as the “Run for the Roses”, is the first leg of the Triple Crown and is considered the most prestigious event in American horse racing. The Derby has been held annually since 1875 and had produced many memorable moments, including Secretariat’s historic run in 1973.

Preakness Stakes

The Preakness Stakes is the second leg of the Triple Crown of thoroughbred racing, taking place two weeks after the Kentucky Derby. The race is held at Pimlico Course in Baltimore, Maryland and attracts some of the best horses in the world. Many horses that have won the Kentucky Derby go on to compete in the Preakness, making it a must-see event for horse racing fans.
