USC’s Williams lone Heisman favorite

Updated 10/03/23 6:40am ET

USC Quarterback Caleb Williams has separated himself from the pack and is now a +170 Heisman Trophy favorite at FanDuel. This comes after the reigning award-winner threw six touchdown passes in a high-profile win at Colorado.

Last week, Williams and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. were +400 co-favorites. Penix did not throw a single touchdown pass in the Huskies’ win at Arizona, after throwing for 16 TDs in his four games.

Several other quarterbacks round out the top five, including Texas’ Quinn Ewers (+900), Oregon’s Bo Nix (+900) and Florida State’s Jordan Travis (+1600)

The statistics still favor Williams, who leads the other Heisman favorites in rushing yards (71), total touchdowns (15) and quarterback rating (223.1).
