NBA Finals MVP longshot Kristaps Porzingis now has a legitimate chance to win the award, based on the updated betting odds.

Porzingis entered the series with odds in the neighborhood of 50-to-1 and those odds are now +700, following Boston’s Game 1 win. In his much-anticipated return from a calf injury, Porzingis scored 20 points off the bench in 21 minutes.

Boston’s Jayson Tatum remains the betting favorite but his odds actually went from -115 to +120 after the win. Tatum scored 16 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with five assists.

Jaylen Brown is the second favorite with +300 odds after he had around +500 odds prior to the series. He finished with 22 points and a few stellar defensive plays.

Luka Doncic is the third MVP favorite with +360 odds.

The Celtics are now -425 favorites and Dallas is a +330 underdog. Game 2 is Sunday. Boston is a seven-point home favorite.
