After scoring a career-high 54 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander moved from a -330 betting favorite to -500 at DraftKings.

SGA made 17 of 35 field goals and 17 of 18 free throws to rally the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 123-114 win. His previous career-high was 45 points.

SGA was the second betting favorite until about three weeks ago but then passed Nikola Jokic to become the betting favorite. The Joker is now the second favorite with +380 odds.

SGA currently leads the league in scoring at 31.5 points per game, while also averaging 6.1 assists and 5.3 rebounds. He also ranks second with 2.1 steals per game.

Jokic, a three-time MVP, was averaging a triple-double but he currently sits with 30.6 points, 13.2 rebounds and 9.9 assists. Additionally, he’s posting career-highs in points, minutes, steals, three-pointers made and three-point percentage.

Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (6), Bill Russell (5), Michael Jordan (5), Wilt Chamberlain (4) and LeBron James (4) have more MVP awards.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the third favorite with +10000 odds, followed by Jayson Tatum with +15000 odds.
