Sports Betting 101: What Is Juice? 🎥

Sports betting is complicated and it can be intimidating as a new bettor. We’re here to help.

Juice, or “vig”, is essentially a transaction fee that also represents the sportsbook’s built-in advantage. In exchange, you get to pick which bets to make. Standard bets require you to risk 10%, so -110 to win 100. If you win, you get it all back and, of course, your profit. If you lose, the house keeps it, so you only lose the juice on losing bets.

I remember my first bet, too. Now, it’s time to play.
