After finishing group play undefeated and securing the top overall seed, Team USA enters the knockout stage of Olympic men’s basketball as the -600 betting gold medal favorite.

The team now heads to Paris for Tuesday’s quarterfinal against Brazil. The Americans are consensus 27.5-point favorites with an over/under of 186.5.

The winner of that game faces the winner of Serbia and Australia. Led by three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, the Serbs are seven-point favorites. Team USA already faced Serbia in group play and won by 26 points.

The other side of the bracket features second gold medal favorites Canada (+800) and Germany (+800). The Germans are favored by seven points in their matchup with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greece.

The Canadians are also favored by seven when they face Victor Wembanyama and France. The French beat the Americans in the last Olympics during group play before losing to them in the gold medal game.

Team USA is pursuing its fifth straight Olympic gold. This run began in 2008, which was affectionately called “The Redeem Team”, implying the Americans were committed to restoring its top standing in international basketball.
