Despite narrowly escaping significant upset losses in exhibition play, Team USA’s odds to win the Olympic Gold Medal are unchanged and they remain a significant -500 favorite.

On Saturday, the Americans escaped a last-second possession by South Sudan to win 101-100 in game that saw them favored by 43.5 points. Team USA trailed by 14 points at halftime and they were still favored by 23.5 points in the second half.

On Monday, the Americans trailed in the fourth quarter to Germany as 16.5-point favorites but LeBron James powered a rally for the 92-88 victory. James scored the team’s final 11 points.

The next favorites to win Olympic Gold is Canada at +1100. That team features Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murry and other NBA talent.

France is next at +1200. They are powered by NBA big men Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert.

Nikola Jokic leads Serbia (+1600), who opens Group C play against Team USA. The Americans are favored by 15.5 points in Sunday’s opener.
