Cars Of The Future: Gas vs Electric Cars

There is no question that electric cars will continue to have an increased presence in the near future. Only Players went to the New York International Auto Show to find out whether people will adopt this electric trend or stick with their gas-powered cars.

Attendees said they preferred gas-powered cars, citing the sound of the engine and aesthetics of the old-school cars they know and love.

These electric cars are getting better and better though. Many electric models have the same great features that their gasoline-powered counterparts do.

For example, the Ford F-150 Lightning is an electric-powered vehicle with all-wheel drive and similar torque and horsepower numbers to the gas-powered version. We took the truck for a spin as well and it can go from zero to 60 mph in just over four seconds.

Electric-powered vehicles eliminate the need to buy gas and require much less maintenance than gasoline-powered vehicles. There will always be some people sticking with their classic cars, but will these new developments convince more people to make the switch? It is certainly something to keep an eye on in the near future.
