NCAA College Lacrosse Report

Virginia: 6-0 (+280)

Virginia is still holding strong at the top spot in the rankings, with 455 points as of now. The team recently defeated Towson 19-12, showcasing its dominance on both offense and defense. Virginia’s next matchup against the fourth-ranked Maryland Terrapins however will prove to be a challenge. Maryland is a talented and aggressive team that will test Virginia’s skills and strategy. Despite this challenge, Virginia’s odds to win the national championship remain at +280, a testament to its consistent success and skill on the field. Fans can expect an exciting and competitive matchup between these two talented teams. 

Notre Dame: 5-0 (+350)

Notre Dame Fighting Irish men’s lacrosse team continues to be ranked No. 2 in the country, with a record 5-0, and recently dominated Ohio State with a 16-3 win. With 442 points so far this season, the Fighting Irish are proving to be a force to be reckoned with. Notre Dame’s next matchup will be against the Michigan Wolverines, who are currently ranked 20th in the country. While they are favored to win, the Fighting Irish will need to remain focused and play with intensity in order to maintain their undefeated record. Their odds to win the national championship remain at +350, indicating they are one of the top contenders to take home the trophy this season. 

Duke: 6-1 (+900)

The Duke men’s lacrosse team has recently moved up to the third spot in the national rankings after a convincing 17-9 win against Loyola. Led by key contributors such as its talented attackmen and midfielders, Duke has been able to showcase its offensive prowess all season long, evidenced by the impressive 390 points. Duke’s next matchup is set to be against a tough North Carolina team that is currently ranked No. 13, and Duke will need to continue a strong play on both sides of the field to come out on top. Despite their success thus far, Duke’s odds to win the national championship are currently listed at +900, suggesting that there is still work to be done if they hope to bring home the title. 

Maryland: 4-2 (+450)

The Maryland men’s lacrosse team is holding strong as the No. 4 team in the country, with an impressive 16-9 win against UAlbany under their belt. They currently have 382 points and are looking to continue the winning streak in their upcoming matchup against Penn State, which is currently ranked fifth in the country. Despite its strong performance this season, Maryland’s odds to win the national championship sit at +450. The team will need to bring their A-game in order to continue their success and make a run for the championship title. With talented players across the roster, including their midfielders and defenders, Maryland has the potential to make a deep run in the tournament. Fans will be eagerly watching to see if they can rise to the occasion and bring home the championship trophy. 

Penn State: 5-1 (+2500)

Penn State has made a strong statement this season, currently ranked fifth in the country with 379 points. They showed their prowess in a recent matchup against Cornell, defeating the previously ranked No. 3 team 10-6. Looking ahead, the Nittany Lions are preparing for a game against Marquette, hoping to continue their winning streak. While they have some tough matchups ahead, including games against Maryland and Rutgers, the Nittany Lions remain focused on their ultimate goal of winning the national championship. With current odds of +2500, they have a lot of work to do, but this talented team is up for the challenge.
