Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em: NFL Week 12

By Ryan Bologna

We’re headed into week 12 of the NFL season, and while you probably had some players start on Thanksgiving, there is still time to get the rest of your lineup set for Sunday’s slate of games. We found whom some of the top outlets recommend starting this weekend.

Quarterbacks

Tua Tagovailoa has had a great season so far. He is facing a weak opponent in the Texans, who don’t guard the run or the pass particularly well. With Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, Tagovailoa should be in for another good game. The Texans are benching Davis Mills at quarterback as well, so Miami might get a lot of chances to score on Sunday

Trevor Lawrence has been good in some spots for fantasy owners, but experts don’t think that will be the case this Sunday. The Jaguars are taking on the Ravens, which is a tough opponent and their defense just held Carolina to three points. It might be wise to look elsewhere at quarterback this week.

Running Backs

James Connor has been great for fantasy in years past, and while he isn’t exactly a star this season, experts think he will have a good game against the Chargers on Sunday. With Eno Benjamin out of the equation, he should have a significant role in Arizona’s offense.

D’Onta Foreman was picked up by many when Christian McCaffrey got traded to the 49ers. This is probably a week to avoid him. While Denver isn’t good overall, they have a strong defense. Sam Darnold is starting at quarterback, and Carolina isn’t much of a threat through the air. This is a tough spot for Foreman this week.

Wide Receivers

Outlets love Terry McLaurin this week. The Commanders are taking on the Falcons, and should be a big part of the offense, as usual. Taylor Heinicke isn’t going to shy away from letting it loose, that’s just his play style. McLaurin will have plenty of opportunities this Sunday.

Experts weren’t high on D’Onta Foreman, and they aren’t high on his teammate D.J. Moore either. As mentioned above, Sam Darnold is starting for the Panthers this week. Carolina seems to be just throwing stuff at a wall at this point on offense. Moore is a risky play this Sunday.

Tight Ends

Pat Freiermuth has been popular over the last few weeks and it makes sense because he is reliable. He is pretty much always in the gameplay for the Pittsburgh offense. He is the exact type of player who can be a big help to a rookie quarterback. He should get plenty of targets against the Colts on Monday night.

Greg Dulcich has taken over the starting role in Denver, and has been a popular start in recent weeks, but that is not the case for this Sunday. Denver’s offense is just bad, and it’s unknown how much work Dulcich will get against the Panthers. There are probably some better options out there for you.
