Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em: NFL Week 16

By Ryan Bologna

With week 16 in the NFL is this weekend, and hopefully you are preparing for a playoff matchup in your fantasy league. Here is who top outlets recommend starting for this weekend’s games.

Quarterbacks

Tua Tagovailoa is a popular quarterback this week, as the Dolphins will face the Packers at home this week. Tagovailoa has been very productive this season in part due to Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, and outlets believe that will continue against Green Bay.

Dak Prescott has thrown some brutal interceptions over the last couple of weeks, and it won’t get any easier facing the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend. The outlets are not high on Prescott, three out of the five recommend sitting him.

Running Backs

J.K. Dobbins has disappointed at times this year, but the outlets are high on him this week. Baltimore will face Atlanta at home on Saturday, and they should lean on the running game. Dobbins went for 125 rushing yards on 13 carries a week ago.

Brian Robinson looked great against the Giants on Sunday Night Football last week, but the 49ers are a different animal on defense. This will be a much tougher task, especially with the Commanders traveling across the country to play on the road.

Wide Receivers

The outlets were pretty divided this week when it came to what wide receivers to start, but the most popular one is JuJu Smith-Schuster. He has been productive in his first season in Kansas City. He is facing a weak defense in the Seattle Seahawks, so he could be a good option this week.

The Browns offense hasn’t gotten going since Deshaun Watson’s return, and outlets recommend staying away from receiver Amari Cooper as a result. Maybe the Browns offense will show more life against the Saints this week, but Cooper is a risky start this week.

Tight Ends

The Commanders defense has played pretty well against tight ends this year, but George Kittle is still a popular start this week. He has been productive with Brock Purdy as the starting quarterback. The outlets like his chances of performing well this week.

David Njoku has been in both categories for much of this season, but outlets recommend sitting him this week. As mentioned with Cooper above, the Browns offense has not been very good since Watson’s return.
