Waiver Wire Targets For NFL Week 14

By Ryan Bologna

We’re heading in to week 14 of the NFL season, and it’s the last week of the regular season for many fantasy football managers. Here is who top outlets recommend picking up this week:

There are a couple of intriguing options at Quarterback this week. Jared Goff and Mike White were mentioned by multiple outlets. Goff has been on this list periodically throughout the season, and the Lions seem to be playing better as the season goes along. White took over for Zach Wilson a couple of weeks ago, and he has produced much better. He has a great weapon in Garrett Wilson, so he could be an intriguing option if he is still available in your league. Ravens QB Tyler Huntley and 49ers QB Brock Purdy were also mentioned this week due to the injuries to Lamar Jackson and Jimmy Garoppolo.

Cam Akers was mentioned by three of the five outlets, and this is interesting simply because of the trajectory of his season. He was a high fantasy draft pick in most leagued before the season started. He lost his role almost immediately, and even wasn’t practicing with the Rams for a period of time. Now he is back and playing. Bills running back James Cook was mentioned by all five outlets, and his role in the offense is increasing by the week.

Texans receiver Nico Collins was mentioned by four out of the five outlets in the wide receiver category this week. Houston’s offense is anemic, but Collins is one of the receivers who should still see opportunities. Keep an eye on Lions rookie wide receiver Jameson Williams. He made his NFL debut last week after recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in the National Championship game vs Georgia last year. His role should expand in the last weeks of the season.

Greg Dulcich is on a bad offense as well and he had been trending down, but he had a bounce-back game a week ago. Outlets see him as a lower end tight end one for the rest of this season in fantasy. If you are thin on tight end depth or trying to make due until someone like Dallas Goedert is back, Dulcich could be a good pickup.
