XFL Week 4 Recap And More

By Nick Savage

The XFL’s fourth week of the season featured four exciting matchups with several teams looking to solidify their positions in the standings. The Houston Roughnecks continued their willing streak by crushing the Orlando Guardians with a final score of 44-16. The Roughnecks’ offense was dominant yet again, with quarterback Brandon Silvers throwing for 239 yards and three touchdowns. This victory takes the Roughnecks to 4-0, putting them first in the XFL South Divison.

The San Antonio Brahmas and Seattle Sea Dragons faced off in a defensive battle, with the Sea Dragons ultimately prevailing with a score of 15-6. The Sea Dragons’ defense was the standout, allowing just two field goals to the Brahmas’ offense. The win evens the Sea Dragons’ record to 2-2 while the Brahmas drop to 1-3.

The Arlington Renegades traveled to St. Louis to face the Battlehawks but failed to come away with a win, losing 24-11. The Battlehawks’ defense proved too much for the Renegades, where they averaged three interceptions and one fumble recovery. This victory takes the Battlehawks’ record to 3-1, placing them second in the XFL North Division.

The Vegas Vipers and D.C. Defenders went head to head in a closely contested game, with the Defenders ultimately coming out on top, 32-18. The Defenders’ offense played a critical role in the victory, with quarterback D’Eriq King throwing for one touchdown and two rushing touchdowns. The Defenders now hold a perfect 4-0 record, putting them at the top of the XFL North Division.

Looking ahead to Week 5, there are some interesting matchups on the schedule. The Houston Roughnecks will face the Seattle Sea Dragons in a battle of contrasting styles, with the Roughnecks’ high-powered offense going up against the Sea Dragons’ stingy defense. The D.C. Defenders will take on the St. Louis Battlehawks in a matchup between two of the top teams in the league. The Orlando Guardians and Vegas Vipers will both be looking for their first win of the season when they face off against each other. Finally, the Arlington Renegades will take on the San Antonio Brahmas in a game that could have playoff implications later in the season.
